Artistic Associate at Drake Music

Gemma Nash is a sound artist with extensive experience in community collaboration and artistic development. Currently serving as Co Producer at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Gemma focuses on creating immersive audio guides for the museum's collection. As an Artist In Residence in the duo CUTTER // NASH, collaboration with Gareth Cutter involves crafting unique soundscapes that challenge conventional norms related to bodies and identities. In addition, Gemma works with Heart of Glass as Co Creator, developing audio-based projects with community groups, and has been an Artistic Associate at Drake Music, where efforts are dedicated to creating accessible musical instruments and promoting inclusivity in music. Previous roles include Artist In Residence at Metal Culture, Community Co-Investigator at Sheffield Hallam University, and various positions at Drake Music focusing on accessibility and regional program management. Educational qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Music Technology from the School of Sound and Recording and a Joint Honours Degree in Geography & Politics from the University of Birmingham.
