Nanette Mellor

Nanette Mellor is a seasoned leader in the non-profit sector with extensive experience in advocacy and community development, particularly for individuals with learning disabilities. As Chief Executive Officer of The Brain Charity from 2014 to September 2023, Nanette demonstrated strategic leadership. Prior to this, Nanette served as Director at The Fabric District and contributed as a Stakeholder Governor at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. During a tenure at Mencap from 2008 to 2013, Nanette managed grassroots campaigns and community development initiatives across various roles, enhancing regional campaigning efforts and supporting long-term volunteering opportunities. Earlier experience includes a management role at Buckinghamshire County Council, overseeing services for adults with learning disabilities. Nanette holds a BA Hons in Art & Design and Psychology from Nene University College, graduating with First Class distinction.
