Belle Doyle Cowden is currently serving as the Associate Provost for Online Programming at Drake University since September 2023. Previously, Belle held the position of Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies at Culver-Stockton College from June 2022 to August 2023. Belle's extensive career in higher education includes roles such as Executive Director of Online Learning at the University of Southern Indiana from August 2017 to June 2022, and Director of Continuing and Distance Education at the University of Northern Iowa from October 1998 to June 2017. Belle also served as an Instructional Developer/Coordinator at the University of Northern Iowa and as Program Director at Kirkwood Community College from September 1990 to August 1996. Belle Doyle Cowden holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Arts (MA) in Educational/Instructional Technology from the University of Northern Iowa, along with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science from Coe College and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
