Kelley Ellis

Kelley Ellis (Wilgenbusch) currently serves as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Professor at Drake University, where roles also include Director of the School of Accounting and Assistant Professor of Practice in the same school since August 2013. Previous experience includes a position as an Insurance Controls Consultant at MBO Partners in late 2022, focusing on actuarial model risk/control matrices for a local insurance company aligned with FASB LDTI requirements. Past roles at KPMG US involved seasonal professional assurance positions, and Kelley also has extensive teaching experience at DeVry University. Kelley’s career in the insurance and finance sectors includes leadership roles such as Director of Actuarial Governance at Aviva Life Insurance Company and CFO positions at the Greater Des Moines Partnership and Downtown Community Alliance. Educational qualifications include a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Creighton University, an EMBA from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, and completion of the AACSB Bridge Program at the University of Southern California.
