Daniel Matera, PhD, is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Draper, specializing in bioinformatic methods for biological characterization and drug prediction, as well as organ-on-chip and drug-development workflow design. Prior to this role, Daniel was a Tissue Engineer at the University of Michigan, where research focused on the physical microenvironment's impact on fibrosis development, involving techniques in cell biology, materials science, and microfabrication. Experience includes the design of 3D synthetic hydrogels, culture of various cell types, high-throughput analysis of multimodal genomics data, and mentorship of undergraduate researchers.
