Daniel Valencia is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Draper since 2018, specializing in multi-physics and device physics modeling, particularly focusing on radiation effects in electronic devices for strategic and space programs. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Purdue University from 2012 to 2018, where contributions involved advanced electronic transport modeling and significant software development in Nemo5. Daniel also has experience as an intern at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, modeling electronic transport in III-IV materials, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, where electronic transport in nanostructures was modeled and physics labs were taught. Daniel holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, a Master's degree in Physics from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
