Joseph Aghia

Joseph Aghia is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Draper Laboratory, where since August 2015, responsibilities have included leading mechanical engineering teams for ultra-high density modules and managing R&D lab spaces. Joseph has developed assembly techniques, improved manufacturing processes, supported failure analysis activities, and played a pivotal role in managing budgets and personnel. Prior experiences include roles as an Engineer at Materials Systems Inc., where Joseph managed R&D programs and designed acoustic transducers, a Manufacturing Engineer and Final Test Engineer at Axcelis Technologies, responsible for testing and troubleshooting semiconductor production equipment, and a Mechanical Engineer at Electric Boat, focusing on the design and analysis of submarine hull structures. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
