Paul Rhude

Paul Rhude is a Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Draper since May 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Chief in the Amherst Fire Department Student Force, overseeing approximately 30 firefighters and leading on-scene operations from August 2015 to May 2019. Paul also worked as an Engineering Assistant II at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, contributing to the ROV Jason operations from May 2018 to February 2019, and held multiple roles in emergency services, including Call Firefighter at West Barnstable Fire Department and Emergency Towing Captain at Towboat US Nantucket Sound. Paul’s foundational skills in aviation were developed at Mills Air Service, where responsibilities included the inspection and repair of various aircraft. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completed in 2019.
