Stan Shanfield has extensive experience in technical management and operations within the engineering and technology sectors. Currently, Stan is serving as Technical Director and Division Manager at Draper Laboratory since 2003. Before this role, Stan held the position of Vice President at both Axsun Technologies and AXSUN from 1999 to 2002. Earlier in the career, Stan worked at Raytheon from 1985 to 1999, where responsibilities included Operations/Laboratory Manager and Technical Staff. Stan Shanfield earned a PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Physics from UC Irvine.
