Troy Lau is an accomplished leader in advanced software and algorithmic technologies, currently serving as the Director of the Digital Technologies and Sciences Division at Draper since July 2015, overseeing a team of approximately 150 staff members across ten teams dedicated to national security advancements. Previously, Troy held roles such as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Director of the AI, Human, and Data Technologies Division at Draper, where efforts focused on software, AI, and data sciences. Troy's prior experience includes significant contributions to the US Military and DoD at BAE Systems, collaboration on neuro-ergonomics at the US Army Research Laboratory, and research during postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Michigan. Troy earned a Ph.D. and MS in Physics from the University of Michigan and a BS in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
