Alan MacDonald

Alan MacDonald has extensive experience in the arts sector, serving as Creative Director at Drawing Room since January 1980, where responsibilities include illustration and cartooning, as well as speaking on arts topics. Additionally, Alan has been engaged as a Graphic Designer, Artist, and Musician since January 2022, focusing on the intersection of practical metaphysics and consciousness within an arts practice. Alan founded the VoxNova Gypsy Jazz Band and performed as a percussionist from 1988 to 2014, drawing inspiration from Manouche Jazz and early 1900s Latin music. As a Fine Arts Graduate at Unitec Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2011, Alan contributed to adult education in art and creativity. Academic achievements include multiple certificates and degrees from Unitec, emphasizing a solid foundation in higher education and the visual arts.
