Ann Burton

Ann Burton currently serves as VP Development Projects at Drax Group, where responsibilities include leading the identification of partners for projects utilizing innovative low carbon technologies, with a focus on biomass, biofuels, carbon dioxide utilization, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Ann has held various leadership roles at Drax, including VP Global Bioenergy CCS Development, and has significant experience in developing bioenergy CCS projects internationally. Prior to Drax, Ann worked at KPMG UK as COO of the Energy & Natural Resources practice, gaining expertise in operational efficiency and business development, and has previous experience at EY and Weber Shandwick, focusing on communications and strategic marketing in energy and sustainability sectors. Ann holds an MSc in Business Strategy & the Environment from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath.
