Mike Wynd

Mike Wynd is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Hydro at Drax Group since November 2021, overseeing the operation, maintenance, engineering, and asset management of the Drax Hydro fleet in Scotland. Prior to this role, Mike held positions at Network Rail as the Regional Head of Engineering and Asset Management for Signalling, Power and Communications, and at SP Energy Networks as the Head of Smart Grid Operations. Mike's extensive career at ScottishPower included roles such as Head of Network Technical Services, Chief Engineer, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager at Longannet Power Station, and Group Electrical Engineer. Mike began the career as a Graduate trainee and later worked as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Cruachan Power Station. Mike holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
