Catarina Barradas

Catarina Barradas is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Combined Heat and Power Plant Manager at EDP since May 2018, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of a combined heat and power plant. Prior experience includes the role of Mechanical Test and Commissioning Engineer at EDP Gestão da Produção de Energia SA, where responsibilities involved coordinating and executing performance tests in hydro and thermal power plants. Catarina also worked as an R&D Thermal and Fluids Engineer at Efacec, conducting experimental and numerical CFD studies on power transformer performance and reviewing hydraulic component designs. Catarina holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy and Environment from Universidade de Coimbra.
