Vaughan Bassett

Vaughan Bassett has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Vaughan most recently served as the Senior Vice President Biomass Sales & Logistics at Drax Group. Prior to that, they held positions at Wood Pellet Association of Canada as a Member of the Board of Directors & President and at Pinnacle Renewable Energy as the Senior Vice President - Sales and Logistics and Vice President - Sales & Logistics. Vaughan also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Sustainable Biomass Program and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters. Additionally, Vaughan has experience as a Professor at Humber College and has held various roles at Sappi Trading and Sappi Trading Africa, including a General Manager position. Vaughan has also served on the Board of Directors at 5 Rosehill Condominium Corporation and was the President of Living Green Enterprises Inc.

Vaughan Bassett completed their Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Geology and Engineering Geology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 1980 and 1983. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing, Finance, and Strategy at the University of the Witwatersrand from 1986 to 1987.
