Andreas Ring currently serves as the Global Programme Director and Head of Programme Division at the Danish Refugee Council, overseeing seven units and approximately 55 staff since April 2022. Prior to this role, Andreas worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, leading humanitarian affairs with a focus on Afghanistan's response following the Taliban's takeover, and as Chief Advisor on conflict and fragility programming. Experience with Save the Children International includes managing regional responses to the European refugee crisis and implementing programs in conflict zones such as Yemen and South Sudan. With significant expertise in humanitarian response, program design, and strategic planning, Andreas has also held roles in UNICEF and UNHCR, building a strong foundation in child protection and inter-agency coordination. Educational qualifications include master's degrees from Columbia University, New York University, and the University of Copenhagen.
