Hara Caracostas

Hara Caracostas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in humanitarian aid and project management, currently serving as the Regional Head of Programme for West & North Africa and Latin America at the Danish Refugee Council since May 2023. Previously, Hara held the position of Senior Programme Manager at Seefar Enterprise, where responsibilities included enhancing social impact, business development, and managing projects in Jordan focused on vulnerable populations. Hara's background also includes roles as a Global EU Donor Compliance Advisor and Chief of Party at the Danish Refugee Council, managing significant multi-agency migration response programs in West and North Africa. With a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Bath and a Bachelor's degree in Management from the University of York, Hara's expertise is backed by a solid educational foundation and a commitment to improving humanitarian response mechanisms.
