Located in the Center for Advanced Research in Sleep Medicine (CARSM) and affiliated with the University of Montreal, the Dream Engineering Lab is led by Dr. Michelle Carr since 2023. Our research focuses on the science of dreaming through advanced engineering methods, supported by a team of students and researchers from psychology and neurosciences.
Using tools like high-density EEG, sensory stimulation, and dream decoding, we aim to explore how to measure and manipulate dreams, investigating areas such as lucid dreaming, the sources of dream content, and the connections between dreams, sleep, and mental health.
