John Gawne

John Gawne is a seasoned professional with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Franchise Owner with Dream Vacations since August 2004, John has previously held significant roles including Executive Director of ITPro at Old Dominion University from February 1995 to June 2004, and MidAtlantic Management Development Director at Nations Bank and its predecessors from June 1984 to August 1993. John also contributed to the United Way of South Hampton Roads as a Past Board of Directors member and Chair of Community Funding from 1986 to 2012. John Gawne's foundational career in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer lasted two decades, from June 1964 to June 1984. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Communications - New Editorial from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
