Derick Smith

Derick Smith is an experienced educator and program director currently serving as a High School Teacher at Sallie B. Howard School since July 2023. In addition, Derick has been the Assistant Program Director at Higher Knowledge Enrichment since June 2018 and a Student Mentor for Mentor Collective since June 2020. Derick contributes to ticket sales and promotion for the annual Dreamville event, which successfully sold over 40,000 tickets. Derick is a recent graduate of East Carolina University, where a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution and Logistics was earned, and has also gained experience as a Cisco Campus Career Link Mentee and Sales Associate at Pacific Sunwear.
