Sara Shanahan

Sara Shanahan is a skilled fashion designer with extensive experience in the apparel industry. Currently working as a Fashion Designer at Dreamwear since September 2024, Sara previously held various design roles at Trimera Brands from December 2017 to October 2024, including Senior Designer and Fashion Designer. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Costume Designer at Hivewild, where custom costumes were hand-sewn for dance performances, and as a Freelance Designer at Li & Fung Limited, focusing on swim designs. Sara's foundational experience began at Komar as an Assistant Designer, where responsibilities included managing design for intimate apparel brands and coordinating marketing efforts. Sara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Intimate Apparel from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where studies were completed from August 2009 to May 2013.
