Andy Powell is a seasoned educator and arts advocate with extensive experience in managing educational programs and teaching creative writing and poetry. Since August 2014, Andy has served as Manager of In School Programs & Special Projects at DreamYard Project while also working as a Teaching Artist in Poetry. Previous positions include Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Borough of Manhattan Community College, Teaching Poet for The Cooper Union’s Saturday Program, and Creative Arts Specialist at the PAZ Afterschool Program. Andy's expertise spans various educational settings, including adult education at the Boston Center for Adult Education and enrichment teaching at Steps to Success in Brookline. Academic credentials include a Master of Letters in Creative Writing from the University of St Andrews and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Boston University.
