Alicia Dawkins, MSW, currently serves as the Strategic Partnerships Program Coordinator at Charles R Drew Charter School, a position held since November 2022. Previously, Alicia held multiple roles at Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Centers from January 2019 to October 2022, culminating in the role of Director of Enrollment & Recruitment, where responsibilities included overseeing student enrollment efforts and ensuring compliance with funding sources. Early career experiences include positions at the Southern Center for Human Rights as a Graduate Student Intern, Georgia State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, and multiple roles in education and community building, including at Purpose Built Schools and Mercy Housing. Alicia earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Social Work from Georgia State University.

Charles R. Drew Charter School opened in 2000 as the City of Atlanta's first public charter school. Drew represents the cradle-to-college pipeline in the East Lake community and is an integral part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization led by the East Lake Foundation.
