Peter McKnight

Peter McKnight has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Head of School at Charles R Drew Charter School since July 2019, and also as Senior Academy Principal at the same institution since June 2013. With a background as Principal at Atlanta Public Schools and as the founding Principal of the South Atlanta School of Law and Social Justice, Peter has demonstrated a commitment to fostering educational excellence. Previous teaching experience includes serving as a Math Teacher at South Atlanta High School under Teach For America, Inc. Peter holds a Master's of Education in School Leadership from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
