Byron Smith Clinical Psychology

Byron Smith, M.A. in Clinical Psychology and M.Div., currently serves as a Lecturer/Adjunct Professor at Antioch University and Azusa Pacific University, focusing on psychological trauma studies and pastoral care. With over 25 years of experience in mental health, Byron has held clinical therapist roles at various organizations, including HealthRIGHT 360 and Drew Child Development Corporation, where responsibilities included assessment, treatment planning, and group therapy. Byron is also the Founder and Executive Director of Lifting The Veil Inc., a nonprofit organization. In addition to academic and clinical work, Byron has contributed to community mental health initiatives as a Co-Chair Board Member for the Public Safety, Mental Health, and Education Development Board. Educational achievements include multiple certifications in trauma-informed care and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University.
