Cynthia Lakis

Cynthia Lakis has a solid background in the marine industry, starting as a Weights Engineer at Gibbs & Cox, Inc. in 1985. Cynthia then transitioned to the American Bureau of Shipping in 1987 as a Principal Surveyor, Corporate. In 2006, they took on the role of Marketing Director and Marine Regulatory Manager at Drew Marine, where they eventually became the Vice President of Product Management & Marketing in 2023. Throughout their career, Cynthia has gained experience in various aspects of the marine industry, focusing on product management, marketing, and regulatory compliance.

Cynthia Lakis earned their Bachelor's Degree with honors from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1985. Following that, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing at LIU Post from 1990 to 1993. Prior to this, they attended Munich American High School in Germany from 1980 to 1981, and before that, they studied at Hanau American High School in Germany from 1977 to 1980.
