Noor Alam is an experienced contributor photographer, currently associated with Guardian News & Media and Action Aid UK since 2017, and Drik since 2014. Noor has also consulted for WorldFish and GIZ in 2019 and provided photography services for Sudokkho from 2016 to 2017. Prior experience includes working as a photographer at Shaw Wallace Multimedia Limited and completing an internship at Drik News International. Additionally, Noor contributed as a freelance writer for Ittefaq-a National Daily Newspaper in 2005. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Photography from South Asian Media Academy, a Professional Diploma in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Artigianelli - Trento, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from National University of Bangladesh.

Drik, Bangladesh is a distinctive multimedia organisation that has made challenging social inequality its central driving force. Over the last two decades Drik has successfully partnered with national and international organisations to conduct several successful socially responsible programs. Investigative reporting is an essential part of these programs. Credibility of information combined with powerful images presented in these projects have made it possible for Drik to bring out into the open opaque and delicate social issues for public debate and discussion. Thus, inherent in Drik’s work is this ability to use the power of the visual medium to educate, inform and draw powerful emotional responses to influence public opinion.
