Jim Utley is an experienced professional with a diverse background in various industries. Jim most recently worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Oklahoma Christian University. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Vice President of Operations at DrinkPAK. Jim also has a consulting background, having worked as a Consultant at Jim Utley 1 LLC Consulting, where they specialized in business process optimization, training and development, and conflict resolution.
Before their consulting role, Jim held leadership positions at Niagara Bottling, including Vice President - Operational Excellence and Director of Technical Services. Jim was responsible for driving continuous improvement, data analytics, people development, and organizational development. Jim also served as the General Manager at Letica Corporation, where they managed plant operations and production logistics.
Earlier in their career, Jim worked at Plastipak Packaging, where they held various roles such as Program Manager, Plant Manager, and Production Manager. Jim oversaw plant operations, warehousing, distribution, and business development for key accounts.

Jim Utley has an extensive education history that spans different fields of study. Jim obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Oklahoma State University, graduating between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business, Organizational Behavior from The University of Texas at Dallas, completing their studies between 1994 and 1999. Jim's undergraduate education took place at Oklahoma Christian University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering between 1988 and 1994.
In addition to their formal degrees, Jim Utley has acquired several certifications. Jim holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt from the National Jiu Jitsu Association, earned in December 2020. With regard to Lean Six Sigma, they obtained a Unified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in September 2016. Jim is also a certified USSF (United States Soccer Federation) Soccer Coach E-License / Grassroots from the Oklahoma Soccer Association, acquired in September 2014. Jim has further certifications such as National F from the U.S. Soccer Federation. Jim has participated in the Kellogg Executive Experience offered by Kellogg Executive Education. Additionally, they have obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a TPM certification from the University of Kentucky, and a Unified Lean Six Sigma certification from the University of Michigan.
