Juan Giraldo

Juan Giraldo is the CEO and Co-founder of Waku Inc., a CPG brand in the natural food and beverage industry. Juan leads the Waku team based in Boston and Quito, and sets the overall vision and strategy for the company. Prior to this, Juan was the CEO and Co-founder of Eserv Latam, an online IT education start-up, where they won $21K in seed capital and built a Latin American instructor network. Juan also served as the General Manager of Eserv Latam's IT consulting and education company, leading the company's turnaround and developing strategic partnerships. Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Juan worked as a Spanish and French tutor at Coastal Carolina University and co-founded Under Sessions Productions.

Juan Giraldo obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Before that, they participated in a study abroad program in business management at Coastal Carolina University from 2011 to 2012. Juan also obtained a degree in Business Management from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where they studied from 2008 to 2012, with a focus on management. In terms of additional certifications, Juan obtained the TOEFL certification from ETS in October 2015. Juan also obtained the certification in Technological Infrastructure for Electronic Commerce from SENA in July 2012. In addition, Juan obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot in November 2016. Juan also holds the DALF C1 certification from Alliance Française and the First Certificate in English (FCE) from the University of Cambridge, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications were not provided.
