Holly Morris-Kuentz

Superintendent at DRIPPING SPRINGS ISD

Dr. Morris-Kuentz has served in neighboring Lake Travis ISD since 2009, most recently as the Deputy Superintendent. In that role, she provided leadership for 11 elementary and secondary principals, as well as the Curriculum and Instruction, Communications, Development and Corporate Relations, Administrative and Legal Services departments. She served as acting superintendent, and has supervised the Human Resources, Athletics, and Fine Arts departments. During her time at LTISD, Dr. Morris-Kuentz worked collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders on key district needs including attendance zones, safety and security, and long range planning.

Dr. Morris-Kuentz also has served on the Executive Committees of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Association of Curriculum and Development, and is a member of the Fast-Growth School Coalition. She and her husband, John, a middle school teacher, are the proud parents of Timothy, Mikaela and Samuel. Her educational background consists of a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin.
