Jennifer Edwards

Jennifer Edwards is currently the Executive Director of Communications at DRIPPING SPRINGS ISD. Prior to their current position, they served as the Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas (DSACT) from December 2018 to October 2021. Jennifer has also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Literacy Texas from December 2014 to March 2018. During their time at Literacy Texas, they increased revenue by 750% and increased numbers served and units of service by 650%. Jennifer also successfully executed a funded initiative to broaden direct service delivery, expanding from one region to the entire state. In addition, Jennifer led an extensive rebranding initiative to recalculate the mission for a 21st century audience and next generation of leadership.

Jennifer Edwards has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance from The University of Texas at Austin. Jennifer also has certification as a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional from FMA and a Certificate in Strategic Thinking/Human Dimensions of Organizations from The University of Texas at Austin.

They work with Cindi Wade - Director of Technology, Lucy Hansen - Community Services Director, and Karen Kidd - Assistant Superintendent for Learning & Innovation. Their manager is Holly Morris-Kuentz, Superintendent. Blake Barington - Communications Specialist, Caryn Halaszyn - Administrative Assistant report to Jennifer Edwards.
