Mary Rowan

Mary Rowan has had a varied and extensive work experience. From 2005-2007 they worked as a Special Education Teacher at Niles City Schools, where they tailored written and verbal communication to different audiences, fostered and maintained positive relationships with students and their families, and planned and executed engaging lessons to varied skill levels. From 2007-2020 they worked as a Special Education Teacher at Boardman Local Schools, where they adapted curriculum to varied skill levels, created and implemented individualized education plans, and developed transition plans for students with disabilities regarding career goals and employee readiness skills. From 2017-2020 they worked as a Sales Associate at Carters Inc., where they met sales goals, maintained consistent multitasking while providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction, and created window and store displays. From 2017-2022 they owned and operated Elena Faith Boutique, where they created and maintained the website, selected and purchased inventory, and managed and filled online orders. From 2020-2022 they worked as a Vocational Specialist & Job Coach at Blue Sky Employment Consulting, LLC, where they successfully developed competitive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the community, including developing work related relationship with employers, and taught pre-employment transitioning skills, such as self advocacy, work readiness, and job exploration, to individuals with disabilities. Lastly, from 2022-present they have worked as a Sales Development Representative and Sales Development Specialist at Drive My Way and brightwheel respectively.

Mary Rowan attended Crestview High School from 1993 to 1997. Mary then attended The Art Institutes from 1997 to 1999, where they earned an Associate's degree in Fashion Marketing. Mary then attended Youngstown State University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Teaching.
