Ryan Slaugh has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and cyber security fields. Ryan began their career in 1999 as a Technician at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, where they utilized their knowledge of digital and analog circuitry to manufacture prototypes, load banks and test circuits. In 2004, they moved to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Systems Integration Engineer, where they utilized their knowledge of analog and digital electronics to design, manufacture and troubleshoot prototypes. In 2016, they joined CrowdStrike as Sr. Manager of Application Security, where they led the Application Security team conducting vulnerability analysis and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure, web interfaces, APIs, and individual software modules. In 2020, they moved to MedSec as Director of Pentesting and Security Services, where they used their knowledge in embedded systems, software systems, and cyber security to work with a team to secure medical devices and facilities. Ryan is currently working as a Lead Solutions Architect at DRIVEN-4.

Ryan Slaugh has a diverse educational background. Ryan obtained an AAS in Electronic Systems from Idaho State University between 1995 and 1999. Ryan then attended the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a BSIT in Information Systems Security/Software Engineering. In 2011, they went on to Portland State University and earned a Masters of Engineering in Systems Engineering in 2013. Additionally, in 2015 they obtained a Certified SCRUM Master from the Scrum Alliance and an Associate Systems Engineering Professional from INCOSE.
