Kjeld de Meersseman

Kjeld de Meersseman has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Kjeld is currently working as an Expert Witness for Delay at Diales - Expert Witness services since November 2022.

Prior to this role, Kjeld worked at Driver Trett for over a decade. Kjeld started as a Consultant in April 2011 and progressed to the role of Senior Consultant in October 2014. During their time at Driver Trett, Kjeld provided advice on construction contracts and disputes. Kjeld was responsible for preparing claims, performing delay analysis, and defending claims during negotiations and arbitration. Kjeld also worked as an Associate at Driver Trett from June 2018 to October 2020, where they advised clients on construction and engineering contracts, assisted with contract and planning management, and prepared and defended claims. Kjeld also gained experience in assisting clients and their legal teams during various arbitrations. Prior to their role as an Associate, Kjeld worked as an Operations Director at Driver Trett from October 2020, specializing in contract and claims consulting with planning and delay expertise.

Before joining Driver Trett, Kjeld worked at Spring Architecten as a Project Coordinator from April 2006 to May 2011. Kjeld was responsible for coordinating projects during this period. Additionally, they worked at Kokon Architectuur en Stedenbouw, where they started as a Constructional Engineer in April 2002 and later became a Junior Project Coordinator from April 2005 to April 2006.

Throughout their career, Kjeld has gained extensive experience in construction, architecture, contract management, claims analysis, delay analysis, and providing expert witness services. Kjeld has worked on various large projects in the building and infrastructure, renewable energy, oil and gas, salvage, and industrial sectors both in the Netherlands and internationally.

Kjeld de Meersseman pursued their education in Architectural and Construction Engineering from 1997 to 2002 at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Kjeld earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree upon completion of their studies.
