Brent Bass, PE has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Brent began their career at NCDOT in 2010 as a Transportation Engineering Associate, where they gained knowledge in various engineering disciplines. Brent'sresponsibilities included creating plan sheets, project estimating, surveying, and mapping. From 2011 to 2014, Brent served as the Division 1 Assistant District Engineer, assisting the District Engineer with plan reviews, encroachments, permitting, road additions, and working with municipalities. Brent also assisted the Resident Engineer with material certifications, managing paving and construction projects, and paying monthly estimates. In 2014, Brent took on the role of Division 5 Assistant Locating Engineer at NCDOT, where they worked closely with the Locating Engineer in distributing projects to technicians and planning future work. Brent also created conventional surveying and subsurface utility engineering estimates and negotiated scopes of work with Professional Engineering Firms. From 2016 to 2017, Brent served as the Division 4 Locating Engineer, managing engineers and technicians, prioritizing work schedules, and overseeing more complex projects such as CSX Rail Surveys and I-95 Surveys. In 2017, Brent joined DRMP, Inc. as a Project Manager, where they utilized their skills in managing projects effectively. In November 2018, they transitioned into the role of Mobile LiDAR Manager at the same company.
Brent Bass, PE graduated from North Carolina State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Construction Engineering. Brent obtained their Engineering Intern certification from NCEES in June 2010 and later became a Professional Engineer in May 2015, also certified by NCEES.
