William Kolkey

William Kolkey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2020, they joined Droit, a technology firm specializing in computational law and regulation within finance. Serving on the product team, they contributed to the development and implementation of their award-winning platform. Prior to this, in 2019, they co-founded PoliScribe, where they served as the Head of Product. PoliScribe aimed to enhance civic discourse by providing legislative summaries and personalized responses for public servants.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, William worked in politics. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Chief of Staff for the California State Assembly, where they played a crucial role in managing operations. In 2015, they managed a successful campaign for the CA State Assembly. Also in 2015, they worked as a Product Marketer for NovoEd, a role where they likely contributed to the promotion of the company's educational products. Finally, between 2009 and 2012, William served as the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor for The Oxonian Review.

William Kolkey attended UCLA from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Oxford. From 2008 to 2009, they obtained a Master's Degree in Medieval History at Oxford. William continued their academic journey at Oxford from 2009 to 2014, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medieval Philology.
