Max Tubman

Max Tubman has extensive work experience in the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry. Max is currently the Director of Integrations at Drone Amplified since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Freefly Systems from 2021 to 2023 as the CTO of Alta X, where they focused on mobilizing engineering efforts for larger industrial markets and incorporating client feedback into design processes.

From 2017 to 2021, Max was the Chief Executive Officer at BFD Systems, specializing in developing custom unmanned aerial systems with payloads ranging from 20 lbs to 150 lbs.

Before that, they founded Steam Machine Aerial in 2010, where they served as a Cinema Drone Pilot and operated a variety of platforms for aerial cinematography. Max also held the role of Director of North American Sales at Gryphon Dynamics from 2015 to 2017.

Additionally, they have had experience working at XM2 Aerial in 2015 as the Director of North American Operations and at Fovea Aero Systems LLC in 2015 as a UAS Pilot. Max served as a Visual Observer at American Aerospace Technologies, Inc. in 2014.

Furthermore, they held leadership positions at AUVSI as the Liberty Chapter President from 2020 to 2022.

Max Tubman attended the University of Vermont from 2004 to 2008, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. In 2015, they completed a UAV certificate program at Unmanned Experts. In the same year, they also attended Tailwheels Flight School and obtained a Private Pilot w/ Second Glass Medical degree.
