Founder & CEO at Drone Defence

Richard Gill MBA has a diverse work experience in the military and in the commercial drone industry. From 2003 to 2016, they served as an Operations Director, Media Officer, Logistician, and Commissioned Officer in HM Forces. In 2014, they founded Ocuair Limited, the UK's leading responsible commercial UAV operator with full Civil Aviation Authority permissions to operate drones for commercial aerial work. In 2016, they founded Drone Defence, the UK's first complete drone security business, providing market leading drone detection capability and expert advice to help organisations mitigate the threat.

Richard Gill MBA began their educational journey at the University of Leeds, where they obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering between 1999 and 2002. From 2003 to 2004, they attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where they completed an Officers' Commissioning Course in Military and Strategic Leadership. Richard then went on to study Business Administration and Management, General at The Open University from 2010 to 2013, and obtained a BSc (Hons). In 2013, they completed a Level 7 Extended Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership at Stratford Business School. Finally, they obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Northampton between 2013 and 2015.
