Ivan Monroy Ortiz, P.Eng.

Ivan Monroy Ortiz, P.Eng. has extensive experience in engineering roles. From May 2019 to March 2020, they worked as a UAV Field Engineer at Drone Delivery Canada, where they were heavily involved in flight operations and testing. Ivan demonstrated strong skills in planning, problem-solving, and communication. From March 2020 to December 2021, they served as the Manager of Field Operations at the same company. In this role, they had a cross-functional responsibility between the Engineering and Flight Operations teams. From December 2021 to present, Ivan has been the Manager of Engineering Support at Drone Delivery Canada, further showcasing their engineering expertise. Prior to their work at Drone Delivery Canada, Ivan worked at GEM Systems Inc. as a Mechanical System Engineer from October 2010 to May 2019. During their time there, they spearheaded the UAV product line, which has become one of the top-selling products. Throughout their career, Ivan has consistently demonstrated strong skills in planning, problem-solving, and communication.

Ivan Monroy Ortiz, P.Eng. received their Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University, where they attended from 2005 to 2010. Ivan has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career, including an Advanced drone license from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in June 2019, a Professional Engineer (PE) designation from Professional Engineers Ontario in January 2018, and a Remote Pilot-Small unmanned aircraft system certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in October 2017.
