Aurian D'Avernas

Aurian d'Avernas is a Computer Vision Software Engineer at DroneShield since May 2022, focusing on the development of DroneOptID, a low latency real-time drone tracking and classification software. Previous experience includes serving as a Robotics Software Engineer at ALTEN BELGIUM from February 2019 to April 2022, where contributions were made to AI-driven surveillance solutions for defense and aerospace clients. Aurian also led a scientific expedition for UCL to Mars, participated in the 2016 Eurobot International Robotic Contest, and managed the "Watt for Africa" project for Louvain Coopération. Education includes a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, both from Université catholique de Louvain.
