Richard Chan is an experienced software engineer and researcher with a strong background in developing web and desktop applications. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Dropbox since September 2011, Richard focuses on building solutions for desktop, web, and iOS platforms. Prior to Dropbox, Richard held software engineering roles at Oracle and completed internships at Google, contributing to projects such as an AJAX render/control engine and the Store Gadget Wizard. Richard's early research experience includes working at the MIT Media Lab on the AskMobi Project and participating in UROP research in music perception. Richard holds two Master of Engineering degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtained in 2009 and 2010.
