Peter Moreira has extensive work experience in law enforcement, with their most recent position being Chief of Police at DRPS- Durham Regional Police Service since March 2023. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Toronto Police Service, including A/S/Superintendent, Superintendent, Inspector, and Staff Superintendent. Peter started their career as a Police Constable, Sergeant, and Detective in 1991 and gradually worked their way up through the ranks, gaining experience as a Staff Sergeant and Detective Sergeant.
Peter Moreira attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they pursued an Honours BA in Policing.
