Manager Fleet And Quartermaster at DRPS- Durham Regional Police Service

Ronald DeMerchant is an accomplished manager with extensive experience in fleet and program management. Currently serving as the Manager of Fleet and Quartermaster at the Durham Regional Police Service since February 2021, Ronald oversees operations related to Fleet Services and Quartermaster Stores, managing over 60 external service and material purchase contracts to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery. Previously, Ronald held managerial roles in the Fleet Management Centre at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation from November 2012 to February 2021, including serving as Head of Fleet Services for the Eastern Region and briefly as Fleet Operations Manager for the Ontario Government. Ronald holds a Certificate in Adult Education from Brock University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Public Administration in Governance, Law and Management at Athabasca University, alongside a Certificate as a Teacher Trainer of Adults from Conestoga College.
