Cat Packer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of drug policy and regulation. Their most recent position is as the Director of Drug Markets and Legal Regulation at the Drug Policy Alliance, which they started in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice Chair of the Cannabis Regulators of Color Coalition (CRCC) starting in June 2022.
In 2022, Cat Packer also held the role of Distinguished Cannabis Policy Practitioner in Residence at the Drug Enforcement & Policy Center at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
From 2017 to 2022, Cat Packer worked as the Executive Director of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cannabis Regulation.
Additionally, Cat Packer started their career at the Drug Policy Alliance in 2016 as a Policy Coordinator, a position they held until 2017.
Cat Packer completed their education in a chronological order. Cat first attended The Ohio State University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Following that, they enrolled at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law from 2012 to 2015, graduating with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, specializing in law. During the same period, they also pursued a Master's Degree in Public Policy & Management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, completing their studies in 2015.
