Blake McCartney

Blake McCartney, Esq. is an accomplished attorney currently practicing at Drummond Woodsum since September 2023. Blake served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Maine Supreme Judicial Court from August 2022 to August 2023 and was the Editor-in-Chief for Volume 74 of the Maine Law Review from January 2021 to May 2022. Previous roles include a Judicial Extern for Magistrate Judge John H. Rich III at the U.S. District Courts, Summer Associate positions at Drummond Woodsum and Disability Rights Maine, and a Student Attorney at the Refugee and Human Rights Clinic. Early career experiences include a Legal Clerk role at The Jackson Laboratory and an Americorps Vista position at Preble Street. Blake holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Colby College.
