Hugh Byrd

Hugh Byrd is an experienced professional in power trading with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at DRW since October 2024, Hugh previously held significant roles at EDF Trading as Desk Head of Ercot/West Power Trading from September 2019 to September 2024, and at Citi, where responsibilities included Managing Director and Director of Ercot/West Trading from May 2013 to May 2019. Prior experience includes positions as Director and VP at Deutsche Bank Energy and a brief tenure as Director at Constellation Energy in 2008. Hugh began their career as a Jr Trader at TXU from 2001 to 2004. Educationally, Hugh holds a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Austin College, graduating in 2001.
