Michael Buss

Michael Buss is an experienced Structural Designer at DS Smith since February 2019, focusing on optimizing packaging performance and ensuring reliability and efficiency through detailed analysis and testing. Previously, Michael served as Variation Design Manager, leading a team in creating standard CAD designs, and as Manager of the PackRight Center, coordinating cross-departmental project flow. Prior roles include contract package engineering work and over two decades at Fisher Clinical Services, where significant contributions included the establishment of a Technical Services department and leadership in package development and engineering. Michael began a career in design at Drug Plastics and Glass Co., Inc., after earning an Associate's Degree in Specialized Technology in Architectural Design and Drafting from Lincoln Technical Institute.
