Michal Derkacz

Michal Derkacz is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in information security and network architecture. Currently serving as Head of Information Security Architecture and Assurance at DS Smith since 2017, Michal has provided technical leadership, aligning digital roadmaps with enterprise architecture, and implementing secure network solutions. Previous roles include Senior Network Consultant at ECS for the Royal Bank of Scotland, where resilient Wireless LAN solutions were designed, and Network Manager at Arqiva, leading major network deployments across various industries. Michal's career also includes positions as a Network Security Engineer at Imerja Limited and as a Network and Systems Administrator at West Cheshire College. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Computer Science from the University of Chester and a Foundation Degree in Information and Communication Technologies from West Cheshire College.
