Nick Thompson

Nick Thompson has extensive work experience in the manufacturing industry. Nick started their career at Clariant UK Ltd in 1989 as a Special Projects Technician and worked there until 1995. Nick then joined Sappi as a Mill Technical Manager from 2002 to 2005. Nick then worked at Clariant as a Global Technical Manager - Colourants from 2005 to 2006, and later as a Technical Manager - Paper Division at Clariant Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd from 2006 to 2010. Nick then joined Witon Chemicals as a Technical Sales Manager from 2010 to 2013. Nick then worked at Brenntag as a Business Manager - Pulp & Paper from 2013 to 2014. Currently, they are employed at DS Smith, where they have held various roles including Senior Category Manager - Raw Materials, Group Procurement from 2014 to 2016, Head of Raw Materials Procurement, Paper Division from 2016 to 2018, and is currently working as Materials Development Director, Group R&D.
