Tomoe Koketsu

Tomoe Koketsu has a diverse work experience in various roles. Most recently, from November 2021 onwards, they worked as a Drupal Developer at DSFederal, where they developed and maintained web pages using Drupal 8 and Drupal 9. Prior to that, they had an internship as a Web Developer at DSFederal from August 2021 to November 2021. In this role, they analyzed system problems, developed and designed web pages using PowerApps, and designed test cases for user experience testing.

In 2021, Tomoe also volunteered as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax Preparer at TerpTax, Inc. where they assisted low-income individuals with filing their tax returns and coordinated meetings via Zoom to help clients understand the filing process.

Additionally, Tomoe has previous work experience as a Human Resources Intern at Shanghai Dapuqian residents committee from May 2019 to July 2019, and as a Chinese Conversation Leader and Language Teaching Assistant at Aoyama Gakuin University from April 2015 to March 2016. In this role, they facilitated Chinese-language conversation instruction and provided one-on-one lessons, group activities, and constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.

Tomoe Koketsu attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2019 to 2021, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Management Information Systems, General, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Finance. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, Tomoe attended Aoyama Gakuin University and earned an Associate's degree in General Studies.
